Automation and HRIS Integration
Workwize
Workwize integrates with BambooHR, HiBob, Deel, and many other HRIS platforms natively. The integration library shows 72 integrations for HRIS alone.

Interestingly, Workwize is the only one in its category with an MCP (Model Context Protocol) integration.
MCP connects Workwize to AI tools like Claude and automation platforms like Zapier. This allows you to run operations via natural-language prompts—for example, ordering a laptop for a new hire or checking a device's delivery status directly via Claude or Slack.

Workwize also has a public GitHub repo for the MCP server, so teams can extend it to fit custom workflows. Neither Deel IT nor GroWrk currently offers an MCP integration or equivalent AI-driven automation layer.
GroWrk
GroWrk's automation relies on its 40+ pre-built HRIS integrations that trigger device provisioning and retrieval when employees are hired or terminated. It also offers a documented API for custom workflows.
If your HRIS isn't in their supported list, you'll need to use their API, which may require light scripting to set up.

On the support automation side, GroWrk has GroWbot 2.0, an AI chatbot built into the dashboard that handles IT troubleshooting around the clock. If GroWbot can't resolve an issue, it automatically generates a support ticket and escalates to a human agent.
Deel IT
Deel IT's automation advantage is that HR and IT actions happen inside the same system. When you use Deel as your HRIS, you can define equipment budgets and device setups by role or location that are automatically assigned to new joiners.
The highlight is auto-wipe-on-termination: as soon as HR records a termination in Deel, the device is locked and wiped immediately while retrieval logistics start in parallel.
Neither Workwize nor GroWrk matches this. The limitation is that this automation only fires natively when Deel is your HRIS.
Connecting to an external HRIS like BambooHR or Workday is a one-way sync that requires you to
- Create an Integration System User (ISU) first
- Be an Org Admin, IT Developer Admin, or Integrations Admin-People
- Have the necessary rights to create integration system users and manage security groups

Deel has the best HR-to-IT automation of the three, but there are frequent complaints with updates and bugs.

Winner: Tie
Deel IT wins this category for teams already on the Deel platform. Deel’s native HR-to-IT workflow is very convenient, and the built-in MDM means there is one fewer tool to manage. For teams on other HR platforms, Workwize and GroWrk both offer solid HRIS integrations, but Workwize’s Automation Suite OS connects better with MDM configuration.
Asset visibility and tracking
Workwize
Workwize functions as a centralized dashboard for global hardware. It replaces manual spreadsheets with a live, searchable inventory.
Because the platform syncs directly with your MDM and HRIS, it captures granular data, including serial numbers, warranty expiration dates, hardware specifications, and real-time deployment status.
The platform's navigation is modeled after a consumer-grade dashboard rather than a complex database.
Assets are organized into clear categories, which makes it easy to audit specific hardware types across different regions.
If an asset needs attention, the UI allows for quick, context-specific actions. From a single view, you can trigger a “Repair and Replace" workflow or start a retrieval for a departing employee. This level of visibility ensures that ghost assets are identified and recovered before they become a total loss.

GroWrk
GroWrk takes a more device-level approach. It adds devices via an agent or a command on the device itself, which gives your IT team richer visibility from the start. From the dashboard, you can view specs, management details, network information and product status. When you open an individual device, you can dig into specifics like the operating system and hardware configuration.
GroWrk’s device management is powered by JumpCloud, and it also supports Kolide agents for endpoint compliance checks. It integrates with Jamf, Intune and Kandji as well.
- Workwize gives you strong lifecycle tracking and automated alerts across the platform
- GroWrk brings deeper device-level visibility and more detailed technical information
- GroWrk also gives you more direct endpoint insight because it relies on an installed agent or command
- Workwize and Deel IT are better when your priority is asset flow and operational visibility rather than detailed device diagnostics
Deel IT
Deel IT also gives you real-time visibility into where each asset is and whether it is assigned to a worker or still in transit. Like GroWrk, its MDM layer is powered by JumpCloud.

From the device list, you can select an asset and perform remote actions such as locking, wiping, or restarting it. Deel IT offers solid lifecycle tracking, but its strength is more logistical than device-focused. So if you care most about shipment status and remote control, Deel IT might be the better option.
Winner: Tie
All three platforms offer real-time dashboards and asset tracking. Deel IT gives you the benefits of shared visibility into HR data. Workwize offers strong chain-of-custody documentation and lifecycle-stage financial data. GroWrk has arguably the most detailed device-level data.
Offboarding and device retrieval
Workwize
When a termination is recorded in your HRIS, Workwize automatically detects the departure and triggers the retrieval workflow. The departing employee receives an email or SMS with a pickup window and one-click confirmation. Workwize selects the best local courier for that region or ships a prepaid return box.

The platform tracks every return in real time and applies your preset disposition rules once the device arrives. These could be to wipe and redeploy, send for certified recycling, route to resale, or just destruction.
The data wipe, however, occurs after the device is physically returned, not at the moment of termination.
GroWrk
GroWrk supports both manual and HRIS-triggered retrieval. You can initiate a collection from an employee's profile or let a termination event in your HR system trigger it automatically. A dedicated CSM oversees each offboarding personally.

GroWrk follows NIST 800-88 standards for data erasure. Like Workwize, the wipe happens as a separate step after retrieval, not simultaneously with termination.
Deel IT
Deel IT goes furthest on security during offboarding. When HR records a termination in Deel, the device gets locked and wiped immediately. Retrieval logistics start at the same time, which includes
- Prepaid return labels
- Customs handling, and
- Device tracking across 130+ countries
The entire workflow is automated and logged for compliance. Unlike standalone MDMs that ask you to manually coordinate between your HRIS, identity provider and device management system, Deel IT handles all three. The instant lock-and-wipe on termination is a security advantage that the other two don't match. Moreover, when a device is returned, the Device Lifecycle Management seat is automatically freed and reassigned to the next hire.
Winner: Deel IT
Deel IT is the strongest on instant security; it is the only platform that automatically locks and wipes the device the moment termination is recorded in its native HRIS, before the device is even returned.
IT asset disposition and end-of-life management
Workwize
Workwize takes a flexible and vendor-led approach to end-of-life management. It supports certified data erasure, eco-friendly recycling, resale, and donation, while routing ITAD services through a global network of certified partners rather than handling them directly.
This model works well if you want reach and recovery value, but it does require some diligence on your side:
- You can potentially recover some residual value from your assets via Workwize's network of 70+ verified global resellers
- Get access to certified data erasure, including support for NIST 800-88 standards
- Rely on Workwize’s vendor network for execution, rather than a fully in-house ITAD operation
All in all, Workwize stands out for its resale upside and global partner network, though its vendor-dependent model may require closer oversight in compliance-heavy environments.
GroWrk
GroWrk is the most mature option for end-of-life management. If you need a structured way to retire devices, it provides clear options directly within the platform.
You can choose from several disposal paths, depending on what makes the most sense for each device. There are also options to:
- Use the buyback option when the device still has resale value.
- Choose recycling when the device should be processed responsibly.
- Select destruction when secure disposal is required.
- Or opt for donation when the device is still usable but no longer needed.

That flexibility is one of GroWrk’s biggest strengths. The process is also transparent. You can request EOL services from either the inventory view or an employee profile, then review a detailed buyback quote before deciding whether to approve or decline it.
Moreover, GroWrk follows NIST 800-88 and DoD 5220.22-M standards for data destruction. It also supports AAA or NIST-compliant certificates, as well as SOC 2 and ISO 27001 compliance. Depending on the disposal path, GroWrk issues certificates for destruction, recycling, or donation. It also provides recycling certificates that support sustainability reporting.
Deel IT
Deel IT takes a more simplified approach. It includes certified data wiping and device retirement as part of its broader device lifecycle management, rather than offering a dedicated ITAD module.

In practice, that means
- Devices are securely wiped at the end of life and then either retired or cleared for resale
- You get visibility into lifecycle status and any remaining asset value
- You do not get in-platform control over disposal paths such as destruction, recycling, donation, or buyback
Deel IT treats end-of-life as a single step within its lifecycle workflow. That makes it simple to use, but less flexible and less detailed compared to the other two platforms.
Winner: Tie between GroWrk and Workwize
Workwize’s reselling ability and the ease with which the offline component of disposition, including retrieval logistics and decommissioning workflows, is handled make it a very strong option for ITAD. GroWrk offers the most granular disposal options and the strongest in-platform buyback workflow.
Implementation and time-to-value
To assess implementation and the initial sprint to productivity, it would be foolish to go by the official landing page claims. So we did some snooping around and brought observations from real reviews.
Deel IT
First, let’s get Deel IT out of the way since it has the unfair advantage of being part of the Deel ecosystem, which thousands of companies already use.

Via G2

Via G2
As these reviews show, the way Deel centralizes payroll and HR makes IT processes much faster, since much of device management depends directly on employee management. However, the complexity itself can limit how fast your team can get the best out of the platform.

Via Capterra
Some isolated reports of slow performance that impact productivity also deserve your attention. One reviewer wrote, “What I liked least about my experience with Deel was the performance, particularly during periods of high traffic or when attempting to perform more complex actions. I often experienced unacceptably slow loading times when switching between tabs or processing large volumes of data, such as issuing bulk payments or generating detailed reports. This intermittent sluggishness, although not constant, disrupts the workflow and can lead to frustration.”
Setting Deel IT aside, GroWrk and Workwize offer a more balanced comparison
GroWrk
For starters, GroWrk reviewers consistently talk about the fast initial setup. One verified user wrote, "I love the ease of setting up the platform; it was seamless and took less than a day, and managing it has been incredibly straightforward." The dedicated CSM model gets praise too; some users describe GroWrk as an extension of their team across countries.

Via G2
But the picture isn't all positive. For starters, the implementation time, as reported by G2, is apparently one whole month.

Via G2
Moreover, one G2 reviewer flagged "the slowness in most of the activities performed, the errors made in shipments that could be avoided by double-checking before shipping the assets, and the lack of effective communication." Another mentioned shipping updates being "out of date" and wanting more real-time feedback.
So while GroWrk's platform setup is quick, the operational side is where users report friction after go-live.
Workwize
Workwize is one of the few platforms in its category that consistently receives strong reviews.
The one area users occasionally flag is country coverage, which trails the industry-leading figures slightly. Apart from that, Workwize is consistently reviewed as a reliable and transparent partner for IT hardware management.

Via Capterra
Support is also top notch. The platform supplies dedicated Customer Service Managers (CSMs) for every installation and onboarding.
One reviewer wrote: “Super user-friendly platform. They occupy quite a niche field in the procurement world and suit our EOR needs perfectly. They have a wide scope of products in a wide scope of territories. Where they fall short, they are always open to improving and accommodating our needs.”

Via Capterra
Another G2 reviewer said Workwize "eliminated the back and forth between IT, HR, and procurement teams for employee onboarding and offboarding." Many of its users praise the UI as easy to move around, and the support team gets consistent credit for responsiveness.
One Capterra review summed it up: "The onboarding experience was very thorough, organized, and made it easy to get started. They were also flexible with our contract terms."

Via Capterra
Winner: Undeclared
GroWrk sets up fastest, but only if you are doing a barebones setup. Workwize delivers a more structured onboarding for larger organizations. Deel IT onboards quickly if you're already on the Deel platform, but its IT module is newer and less reviewed independently.
Pricing Comparison of Workwize, GroWrk and Deel IT
Right off the bat, none of these platforms openly publishes full pricing. You will need to have a pricing conversation for the exact figures. But here is what we have pieced together based on both official and reliable third-party data.
Workwize
Workwize publishes its pricing structure somewhat more transparently than the other two. There are three clearly demarcated tiers, called Basic, Professional, and Enterprise.
The Basic tier covers three regions. Professional unlocks 5 regions along with automatic offboarding, automatic deployment, and automatic restocking. Enterprise adds unlimited regions, custom reporting, and advanced integrations.
- When a seat holder leaves your company, that seat transfers to the next hire at no extra charge. You don't pay for empty seats.
- SelectHub reports a starting cost of $8 per user per month, plus a $540 one-time setup fee.
- Vendr reports an average annual contract value that ranges from $15,000 to $150,000 for enterprise deployments
The strength of this per-employee-per-month (PEPM) model is predictability: your monthly cost stays flat regardless of how many devices you ship, which rewards steady headcount growth.
If you're a growing company with steady headcount growth, this structure rewards you because you're paying just per seat.
GroWrk
GroWrk offers three plans: A La Carte (free platform access, pay per order), Flex (subscription and variable logistics pricing), and All-in (subscription along with flat rates for deploying, retrieving, storing, and recycling).

- The A La Carte plan charges nothing for platform access. You only pay when you actually place an order.
- The Flex and All-in tiers include 40+ integrations, MDM zero-touch deployment, a dedicated CSM, and end-of-lifecycle services.
- Many reviewers are dissatisfied with the pricing. A G2 reviewer wrote, "The cost involved tends to be on the higher end, making it less cost-effective than I would like."
The pay-as-you-go plan is pretty useful if your headcount fluctuates unpredictably. But once you need the full lifecycle, you'll move to Flex or All-in, where the pricing becomes less transparent and requires a sales discussion.
Deel IT
Deel IT's pricing is the most layered of the three. However, the company has recently simplified pricing with straightforward plans. Now, the entry point for IT managers is the Starter plan at $45 per user per month.

There are other considerations:
- You need a paid per-seat plan to unlock DLM, MDM endpoint protection, and self-service ordering.
- DLM is priced at an agreed base rate, with separate pricing for laptops vs. mobile or tablet devices.
- You commit to a set number of seats for 12 or 24 months. If you enroll more devices than your committed seats, overages are billed at the agreed rate.
- Logistics aren't unlimited. You earn credits based on the enrolled device, like 100 laptops for 12 months gets you 20 store/transfer credits, 4 loaner credits, and 1 replacement credit. If you exceed your credits, you pay extra.
- BYOD storage costs $20/device per month starting from the second month.
This model works well if you're already paying for Deel's HR and payroll suite; Deel IT becomes an add-on to the platform you're already using. But if you're adopting Deel IT standalone for asset management, the costs compound quickly.

Pros and Cons Based on Real User Reviews
Workwize
Workwize, although a newer platform, already has enough capabilities to sway users from established platforms like Deel and GroWrk. And these users left nothing but praise for the platform:

According to G2, easy integrations with tools like BambooHR are one of Workwize’s best features.

Via G2
The ease of managing hardware with complex workflows also keeps coming up repeatedly. Another G2 user wrote,
“We’ve hooked up HiBob and Jamf to Workwize, and now everything just works. New hires get their stuff automatically, and offboarding happens without anyone from IT getting involved.”
The responsive team and support also leave a good impression.

Via Capterra
There is nothing major to dislike with Workwize, apart from minor nitpicks. A verified user complained that “it’s not the most mobile-friendly tool. I can do approvals on my phone, but it’s a bit clunky. A proper mobile app would be a big win.”
GroWrk
Users of the platform love that the basic setup usually takes under a day for most teams.

Via G2
A Trustpilot user also shared how the team pivoted a shipment from Argentina to Spain mid-onboarding, saying GroWrk "moved mountains" to meet the deadline.

Via Trustpilot
Customization also stands out in user reviews; you use only the features you need without a bloated package.
On the other side, shipping speed and dashboard accuracy are the two common complaints.
One user wrote, “The shipping times can sometimes be longer than expected, which could delay important processes. Additionally, the cost involved tends to be on the higher end, making it less cost-effective than I would like.”
Another said shipping updates were "out of date." Retrieval tracking is a blind spot; a reviewer found it "challenging to understand where a device is in the retrieval process." Cost draws mixed reactions.

Via G2
Deel IT
Deel IT’s biggest draw is the unified platform. Most of its reviews focus on the HR and payroll aspects of the platform, but that doesn’t mean the platform's IT aspects are neglected.

Via G2
Deel also gets a lot of love for managing contractor workflows. One verified user wrote,
“It’s the fastest way I know to get paid as a contractor. It’s easy to use, and the support team responds in a timely manner whenever I need help.”
As for cons, the obvious one is that the IT module is newer and less proven. Customer support is another one that keeps coming up in reviews:

Via Capterra
Which Platform Should You Choose?
The right platform for you depends on where your company sits today and what your focus areas and priorities are.
- Choose GroWrk if you're a small and fast-moving team that needs global reach without committing to a subscription.
- Choose Deel IT if your company already runs HR and payroll on Deel. Having everything in one login reduces tool sprawl.
- Choose Workwize if you need the full hardware lifecycle handled, all the way from procurement to decommissioning and resale, through one platform with predictable per-seat pricing.
Why Workwize Leads for End-to-End IT Hardware Management
If you just need to buy a few laptops for a small team, any of these platforms will get the job done. But not if you are managing a growing global workforce.
GroWrk is a solid choice for immediate reach into emerging markets. Deel IT is convenient if your entire company already works inside the Deel ecosystem. But Workwize is the only platform designed to handle the ins and outs of the entire hardware lifecycle without you having to step in.
The reason mature IT teams opt for Workwize over the others is predictability. While other tools rely on third-party resellers or basic HR add-ons, Workwize uses a warehouse-first model to ensure that a laptop in Brazil arrives with the same configuration and speed as one in London.
By automating the tedious parts of IT, whether tracking warranties or managing warehouse stock, Workwize allows your team to stop acting like a logistics company. Users report saving a significant amount of time they previously spent on manual shipping and tracking.
It’s time to see what true end-to-end management looks like.
